Teams Overview

BVRC is one of twenty three designated to British Riding Clubs Area 17. Geographically the area covers the central south of England, stretching from Petersfield in the East to Blandford and Purbeck in the West & includes the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands although the latter tend not to come to qualifiers. Each year inter club competitions are organised in Dressage (Winter, Summer and to Music), Show Jumping (Winter and Summer), Arena Eventing (SJ+XC), Combined Training (dressage+SJ), Challenge (SJ+XC) and Horse Trials. The winning teams and individuals from these competitions and from all other Areas around Great Britain go forward to the various BRC National Riding Club Championships later in the year.  All horses competing at Qualifiers and Championships must have Equine Influenza vaccinations compliant with the BRC Handbook.

Juniors. Any member under 18 years old on 1st January of the current year is eligible to represent BVRC as a Junior at BRC Area Competitions.  However, as BVRC membership starts at 17, we tend not to field a junior team at qualifiers though some of the bigger heights are now for mixed senior & junior teams.

More detailed information about the Championships, including dates and locations, can be found on the BRC website or by contacting Susie Pool (rein(at)bvrc.co.uk).  Area Qualifier dates can also be found on the Area 17 website

Team information can be found in the sub-menus on this website where there may be links to the online application forms.  However, these are all emailed to members for every Qualifier.
